How to pay for college?
College costs can be scary! The first thing most people look at is how much will it cost?
Remember:
-
Fill out your FAFSA, and do it every year, and make sure you do that before you do anything else because that’s going to open a lot of doors for you for financial aid.
-
After that, go to your university, find their scholarship applications. Many universities now have one application for the whole school for all scholarships.
-
Check with your counselor about local scholarships. There are businesses and families that give scholarships to High School graduates in their town.
-
Go to outside agencies. Look at resources that are online. There are tons of scholarship sites online. Many universities now maintain a scholarship database that includes external scholarships.
-
Look at big-name corporation. Any big name that you know — Coca-Cola, Walmart, McDonald’s — any big name you can think of, most of them offer some kind of scholarships as well.
